The bike share program is rebranding as "Starling Bank Bikes," debuting in Manchester, Trafford, and Salford from February.
Starling Bank's expansion into Manchester, recognized as the UK's Top Digital Tech City, aligns with the city's fintech talent pool.
The new St Peter’s Square office is expected to create over 1,000 jobs. Since its November 2021 launch under Bee Network, the bike scheme has garnered 72,000 active users, covering 1.5 million kilometers. Starling Bank's sponsorship funds will support operational costs and future expansion. Susanna Yallop, Chief People Officer, expresses confidence in Manchester's role in Starling's growth. The sponsorship transforms bike fleet and stands, featuring the Bee Network's yellow and the new "Starling Bank Bikes" logo.
The updated bike hire app will be live in February, with undisclosed commercial terms for the sponsorship.
